Graduate Studies

The Department offers a M.S. degree in Horticulture. This is a two-year thesis program in which the students learn how to conduct scientific studies and prepare research reports for scientific journals. The Ph.D. degree in Plant Science is administered jointly with the Department of Plant Pathology. The Ph.D. program takes three years and requires original research and development of new knowledge.

The Graduate Student Handbook provides detailed information regarding procedures and requirements for earning a graduate degree from the Department of Horticulture at the University of Arkansas.
