Honors and Awards

Department Awards

David Hensley Department Head, received the Southern Region-American Society for Horticultural Science Leadership and Administration Award at the 2005 annual meeting.

The American Society for Horticultural Science presented Curt Rom with the 2003 Outstanding Undergraduate Educator Career Award. This award recognizes outstanding dedication to excellence in undergraduate education and distinguished contributions to horticultural science.

Janet Carson, Extension Horticulture Specialist, was awarded the 2003 John W. White Outstanding Extension State Faculty Award.

Curt Rom received the 2002 John W. White Teaching Excellence Award.

Dr. John Clark received the 2006 John W. White Outstanding Research Award.

The Turf Team (Drs. Richardson, Karcher, Robbins, Boyd) received the 2006 John W. White Team Award.

Dr. Jim Robbins received 2006 Covington Extension Award from the Southern Region ASHS.
